Founded in 1993 Western Global is an independent consultancy focused on providing engineering support and engineering based services to private companies, corporations and government organisations.

The companies principal is George Porrins. He has a career background in design, fabrication, contracting and management, related to materials handling, conveying, mechanical design, structural fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, heating and cooling, building construction and civil works.

During this period he was the founder and a director of two engineering, fabrication and contracting companies, Altec Engineering Pty Ltd and Construct Engineering Pty Ltd. These companies provided turnkey solutions for projects throughout Australia and overseas. The companies employed engineer’s draftsman, tradesmen, project managers and administrative staff. A “hands on” role with the responsibility for day to day operations, client liaison, business development and administration.

With Western Global as a specialist consultant, providing design and project management expertise either directly or acting on behalf of clients for projects with third parties.

Western Global has developed a series of strategic alliances with other organisations to provide expertise and support in specialised areas, resources which are drawn on as required to provide holistic solutions.
